Public Notice: 21st Century Community Learning Centers

The Fresno County Office of Education hereby notifies the local community of its intention to apply to the California Department of Education for 21st Century Community Learning Centers After School Safety and Enrichment for Teens (ASSETs) and Programs Proposing to Serve Elementary and Middle/Junior High School Students in the following districts:   Central, Kerman and Kings Canyon Unified for ASSETs;  Central, Firebaugh-Las Deltas, Fresno, Kings Canyon, Kerman, and Selma Unified for Middle Schools; Caruthers, Central, Clovis, Fowler, Fresno Golden Plains, Kings Canyon, Kerman, Selma and Washington Colony for Elementary Schools.

The application is due to the California Department of Education by December 12, 2013. We also take this opportunity to inform private schools, faith-based organizations, and community based organizations of our intent to promote the implementation of safe, accessible academic, enrichment, and family literacy programs in the districts noted above.
